:: How To Create An eBook or Special Report For Under $50 and in Less Than 7 Days!

PART 4 OF 4

You are now at the final Step 4… all the steps lead to this final stage right here:

Once you get your articles back from your article writer (average time is 24 hours to 4 days) you are ready to put them together as chapters into your eBook or Special Report and then format the content.

Keep in mind these articles are short (400-500 words) so you can do a couple of things here to increase the content.

  1. Request more articles and combine the content into chapters
  2. Add your expert opinion as content and supplement the information
  3. Add case studies to demonstrate the key elements of the content
  4. Add graphics, charts, tables, testimonials

All of the recommendations should be implemented to create a value and content-rich product that is unique and exclusive to you.

DEB’S TIP:  Be sure to include links to your sites, products or affiliate products.  This is how you make additional money and it is also a great way to get traffic to these sites.  Check out my Special Report on Coaching to see how I integrated this information to create a content-rich and professional looking report that will help anyone who wants to get started in coaching. You’ll see that I sprinkled some of my sites, resources and tools throughout the information.  I was careful not to do too much here as your goal is also to build a relationship and maintain trust.

Thank you for reading this series. I hope it helped you to take your business to the next level.

Best of Success,

Debra

:: How To Create An eBook or Special Report For Under $50 and in Less Than 7 Days!

PART 3 OF 4

If you haven’t read the previous Step 1 and 2, do that now please… it lays the foundation for what you are to do next here in Step 3:

Okay, now you need content for your eBook or Special Report.  The way to do this is to go to your article writer and give them the topic and a list of articles you want written.  Remember these titles will change later to be your chapter titles… for now all the article writer needs to know is that they are writing articles.

The articles will be about 500 words in length.  It doesn’t matter what order you put your request in.. however the closer to your book outline you can get, the easier it is for the article writer to see the flow and make the information seem continuous.  This is the flow you want.

Article 1:  Getting Started in Coaching and Understanding the Business

Article 2:  The Top 10 Items You Need to Do To Set Up Your Coaching Business

Article 3:  The Difference Between Group Coaching and One-on-One Coaching

Article 4:  How to Find Your Coaching Clients

Article 5:  How To Coach Your Clients and For How Long

Article 6:  How To Provide Coaching Services and What The Services Include

Article 7:  Some of the Key Tools and Resources You Need For Coaching

Article 8:  How To Differentiate Yourself From the Competition

Article 9:  The Top Services and Prices Charged For Coaching

Article 10: What Your Coaching Contract Should Include To Protect You

I tired to put my articles above in order as I mentioned so the writer would know the flow from one article to the next (one chapter to the next).  This isn’t set in stone and you can always change it later.  As a matter of fact when you see my Special Report, you will see that I rearranged the chapters to make them make even more sense and to put them into a more logical sequence for my audience.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for the final Step 4 in this series.

Cheers!

PART 2 OF 4

If you haven’t read Part 1… be sure to check that out first as that is the first step you need to take.  Here is Step 2:

You need someone to write these articles for you… don’t try to do everything yourself.  And remember it doesn’t have to be perfect…. it just has to BE!  Get yourself going by having someone help you.  You can always come back and improve later, that’s the easy part.

For Article Writers… here is a list of my resources:

  • www.forums.digitalpoint.com - this is where we get our writers.
  • www.craigslist.org - simply search for services or post an ad
  • www.elance.com - this is a site a lot of top marketers use

What should you be paying per article?  Answer: $5.00.  If it is more than this, keep looking.  Also… if you are looking for a lot of articles, consider negotiating a package rate or for a long term relationship.

The key here is not to mention that you need a ebook!  Because then the price goes up to $1000 or higher!  All you want is the information and then YOU will format it into your ebook or special report.

DEB’S TIP:  You Can Use These Articles For Traffic Too!

Remember you need unique articles for your blogs and for article submission as part of your traffic generation strategy to get people to your sites.  You can repurpose this information and use it for these traffic generation methods as well!

Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I have for you in Step 3!

Cheers!

:: How To Create An eBook or Special Report For Under $50 and in Less Than 7 Days!

PART 1 OF 4

This is exactly what I did in less than 1 week to create THREE (3) Special Reports that I needed to give away for Free with my Opt-in box… one of which will go right here on my Debra::Unplugged Site.  Now I know I’m using this method to create a Special Report, however the very same methodology can be used to create your very own eBook!

I taught this method to my Wealth Alliance Members and they went absolutely crazy over this strategy that several of them went out and implemented it right away!

Below is my STEP BY STEP process.  Remember you can use this for Special Reports or eBooks

Your first Step is to decide on the topic and name for eBook/Special Report

Deb’s Example:  I needed 3 Special Reports.  Here are the topics and titles:

  • "Creating A Successful Consulting Business"
  • "Creating A Successful Coaching Business"
  • "Creating A Successful Seminar Business"

Remember my purpose and intent here was to provide general information in the form of a Special Report that would entice someone to opt-in and give me their first name and email address for my Special Report.  I’m using this for my blogs.

Note that my titles are pretty generic.  That is just fine for right now and for the purpose of creation.  I will come back and enhance these titles to make them more persuasive later.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for Step 2 in this series.

Cheers!

This is one of the strategies that I particularly love because it is very easy to do. It is a great regeneration opportunity because you can essentially get your book and eBook out there virally and you can also market it and drive traffic to it. There is 3 easy ways to create an eBook or a book. Let me just explain what the difference is. EBook is no different than a book except the e stands for electronic meaning that your book is going to be published and marketed on line on the internet. There is no physical version, no physical copy of it.

Interestingly enough the eBooks are considered more valuable than the physical books that you actually go down to the library and get or a book store. You can command a higher price point for an eBook over a physical book simply because of the perception, the marketing you can put behind it, the internet, and what you can do to incorporate in terms of the content. The difference between eBook and book is; one is electronic and one is physical.

When it comes to internet marketing, the eBook is one of the easiest products that you can make and create to get products out there on the internet. But, it is not just about making that product and selling it, there is also a way you can utilize this and build your list. It is very creative. It is not something that is necessarily new but it may be something you don’t know about. It actually has been around for a long time.

When it comes to the membership program, this is your opportunity to make that residual or that reoccurring income on a monthly basis, because you are attracting students yourself. People who want to stay involved with you. People want more than your newsletter, more than your e-mails, more than just you’re coaching or your product.

They want you to continue to stay involved with other students and keep growing. That is what membership is about and that is why we created the Membership Accelerator System is one of the other things we created.

Growth through membership, benefits all

What I do in my business, with my background, is information marketing. I do a combination of online and offline products and services. I sell or present myself online and or offline. That gives you the greatest opportunity to reach an audience and work with them and also help them to be successful.

You see, I feel like it is too narrow if it is strickly internet marketing, you are missing a large piece of the pie by not offering items, products and services offline.

One of the best things you can do for your company, is to create a getting started course. It is the number one sought after topic in any industry or subject matter. "How To", is the number one topic. It’s the beginning people want. This is the information they want. Don’t worry about trying to be all things to everyone. You have got to get started and you need to make it happen. "Getting Started"; is exactly what you need to call your program.

Now, let’s take aim. And I want you guys to pay particular attention to this because this is where this is really going to start sinking in and making sense to you. Aim is where we really do the marketing research and we’re going to identify where we want to go.

Now in business, you’ve probably heard about this before but I’m going to twist it around a little bit. This is the funnel theory of marketing. You have a funnel and it’s wide at the top and gets smaller at the bottom. Low end products at the top. Mid-range products in the middle. High end products at the bottom. Now as you’re going through the funnel it becomes less people because not everybody’s going to buy at the high end. They’re going to funnel through the process.

Always keep you eye on the target

If you’ve ever planned or hosted an event you know how overwhelming it can be. Attending to every small detail can leave you wishing the party was over before it even began. This is even more magnified if you are overseeing a large event such as a wedding or a dinner party for business associates. Something always seems to go wrong and it leaves the person in charge of event planning carrying the burden of the blame.

There are steps you can take to guarantee that the party will be a roaring success. One of those steps is to hire an event planner. If you really do feel as though all the small details are too much for you, you might consider hiring someone who specializes in event planning. There are many reputable companies who can offer you their services for a fee. All you do is explain the event to them, including your preferences when you wish to have the event, the theme of it and the menu and they handle the rest. The onus of the work is on them, and with their experience they can create exactly the type of gathering that you envision.

If finances are a concern and you can’t afford the luxury of a professional event planning service, there are things that you can do that will help your event run as smoothly as possible. Here are a few ideas:

  • Keep an ongoing list. Plan your event by writing down everything you need to do. As you complete those tasks, stroke them off the list and add new ones as needed.
  • Choose a theme that is appropriate for all guests. It might be difficult for some people to rent or purchase special outfits for a theme party, so try and make it something that is accessible and affordable for every guest.
  • Send out invitations or call with your invitation well in advance. Life is busy for many people and giving them sufficient notice will enable them to handle any arrangements they need to make, such as child care.
  • Choose a menu that isn’t too exotic. Although many people welcome new tastes, it’s often more appropriate to offer menu items that all guests are familiar with, this way they won’t be concerned about possible food allergies or digestive conflicts, if they know exactly what they are eating consists of.
  • Enjoy the event. Often the host becomes so overburdened with party details that he or she neglects their own enjoyment. Plan the event so you will have free time during it to mingle with your guests.
Event planning can be a tedious task, but with proper organization the work involved in planning the party or event can be well worth it. Getting together with family, friends or business associates in a social setting, is a great way to connect and communicate. With some attention to details before, the party can be a huge and often very fun success.

Here are a few ways you can improve your Internet marketing without spending a bundle. These are some basic tips that have much more involved solutions than the simplified summaries I provide below, but I hope it puts you on the right path. In this example, I’m going to assume you’re trying to sell gourmet steaks online.

1. WHO is your Market? – Do you really know your target market? What else are they buying online and offline? What websites do they visit with regularity? Figure that out, then find the websites that cater to them. Not sure what else they like? ASK THEM. Send your customers a survey, call them…do your homework. Then see what type of designs, slogans, and catchy verbiage these other sites are using to entice that audience. You may not be able to afford a gazillion dollars of website R&D, but you can bet that some of the top sites that already cater to your audience DO. Borrow from the best!

2. What is your Message? – Once you know your audience and the type of presentations that are proven to attract them, you need to define your message. What is the ONE thing that you want your audience to remember about your product/service on your site. Don’t get confused with two or three, although you certainly should have a page that espouses all your benefits. You need to pound home the ONE thing that separates you from the competition? Is your product easier, faster, cheaper, more luxurious? Do you offer better service, newer technology? I can’t tell you how many websites I’ve been to that do a miserable job of telling me WHAT they do or WHY I should buy it. Don’t be one of them!
3. Sell Benefits, NOT Features! – While it’s nice to tell me that your Omaha Steaks are USDA super special beef (that’s a feature) what is really important to most customers is the benefit of that feature, like that “it tastes great!” or “is healthier for me”.

4. Use CPC Wisely – Cost Per Click advertising on sites like MSN, Google and Yahoo is probably the fastest and most efficient way to get quality traffic to your site. You pick the keywords for which you wish to advertise, set the bid amount you’re willing to pay for a clickthru, then you only pay when somebody arrives at your site. AMAZING! But you need to track the results to really use this effectively. That means familiarizing yourself with phrases like CPC (cost per click) and CPA (cost per acquisition). You’ll need to have an order or inquiry page in order to know if the clicks you are buying are converting into actual leads.

5. Find Your ONE Keyphrase – Now that you know your audience and how you want to present your product to them, you need to choose the key phrase that you think is ideal for your users to find you on a search engine. This is a delicate and critically important task, as you want to be specific enough that you won’t attract bogus prospects or compete for a phrase that’s too general and difficult, but you also don’t want to choose a phrase so hyper specific that nobody searches it, ever. You can see how popular a phrase is by checking with Overture’s Keyword Tool, inventory.overture.com/.

6. Tune Your Tags – We’ve defined the key phrase you hope to rank for on the search engines, now you need to learn these three letters, SEO. Search Engine Optimization is the service of getting your page to rank “organically” (not paid) on the first page of results on the major engines like Google, MSN and Yahoo. This is achieved by a combination of factors, including having Meta Tags that stress your key phrase. These tags are hidden in the HTML code of your site’s pages and tells Google and other engines what you think your site is about. There is endless drivel written on this topic, but I suggest you learn the basics enough so that if you do hire an SEO expert, you can talk basic shop. Check out www.seochat.com to get started.

7. Are You Buying Links? – Probably the most important new element to SEO, you will need to have as many back links (links to your site) from other websites as possible to have a good chance of ranking for your key phrase. This is done by link swapping, submitting press releases and other articles or just buying them. Read more at www.linkbuilding.org.

8. Simplify Your Content and Design – Ok, so let’s assume you’ve had a little beginner’s luck and are now getting traffic to your site. Are you maximizing the traffic? You can use excellent free tools like Google Analytics to analyze your traffic and see what they are and are not clicking. Your end goal should be to generate orders or inquiries, so tweak your site design until you increase your visit to inquiry/order ratio. That means trying different buttons, hyperlinks, text and content until you find the right combo. If you’re not tracking your stats, you can’t improve!

OK, so I realize this is a lot to digest in one sitting, but the key is to know what you do and do not know…and then go find the knowledge on each of these topics. There are thousands of articles and plenty of paid pros out there to help you!
